Kris Wooles

Kris commenced working in a legal office in 1972 and was admitted as a lawyer in 1974. He became a partner of Roy Twyneham & Son in 1977 and that firm merged with T D Harman & Son (now Harmans )in 1980 and Kris was a partner from then until 1997 when he stepped down to work as a consultant. For twelve years Kris was managing partner at Harmans holding that role until he ceased to be a partner.

Kris has had a wide range of legal experience covering most aspects of law but in recent years has concentrated on Trust work and legal services for the Elderly. He is trustee for a significant number of trusts and estates.

Kris has interests in Contract Bridge and Tennis. He has played Contract Bridge internationally for New Zealand and Captained teams as well. His current role is Chef de Mission for the NZ Bridge International  teams where he fulfils the role of selector and Captain of the Women’s team also.  He is Chairman of the Conduct Discipline and Disputes Committee for NZ Bridge and Trustee of the NZ Bridge Foundation.

Kris is Honorary Solicitor for Christchurch Community House.

Kris lives in Cashmere with his partner Christine, his father George and Basil his dog. He lives  on a 10 acre hillside block covered in trees and currently is replanting a couple of acres in native forest.
