Diane McMenamin
Diane first worked in a law office for Alf Geddes in the 1960’s for three years in a sole charge position. After that she worked for National Airways Corporation which later became Air New Zealand. There she was the Hostess Supervisor. After five and a half years Diane left to have a family. She returned to law in 1984 when she joined T D Harman & Son (now Harmans). She worked there initially as an assistant to Kris Wooles, who was managing partner until 1997, when he stepped down to become a consultant. Diane’s role with Kris was as a legal executive and at that time Diane established a niche in dealing with his older clients and developed an interest in and love of doing work for the elderly client.
Diane was encouraged after Kris stepped down to establish , on her initiative, an elder law practice. That flourished as a unique service in Christchurch with its principal feature being the very personal care and attention given to clients. Diane has a full range of skills focusing on the legal needs of the elderly and is adept in providing the right direction for people to get those needs fulfilled. Over the years she has established a comprehensive network in the local community covering all aspects of relevance to the older client and their families.
In 2008 Diane retired from Harmans and in 2010 was asked to join Cherry Kannangara and Thomson as an eldercare consultant working once again with Kris Wooles.
