Amanda Crawford Amanda is our Senior Litigation Secretary and has been with Cherry Kannangara Thomson for two years. Prior to joining us she worked with a well known criminal barrister at another law firm.
Her role here sees her handling everything from family court, domestic violence and parenting matters, through to criminal and civil litigation and employment law.

Brigitte Renison
Prior to joining Cherry Kannangara Thomson, Brigitte qualified and worked as a real estate agent. This provided a sound background in real-estate, business and administration. Brigitte was born and raised in South Africa and is currently completing the Legal Executive Course part time through the NZ Law Society. Brigitte brings a calm, competent demeanour and good people skills to the position and is always ready with a listening ear and caring attitude.

Hannah Cossey Hannah joined the Cherry Kannangara Thomson team in August 2009 as a secretarial support person. Prior to this Hannah was home schooled on a farm in Canterbury which gave her a wide variety of life skills and experience in the rural community. Hannah also studied applied science in 2008 at the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology.
Hannah has had an array of part time after shcool jobs, including working as a florist and also working in the freezing works laboratory to get hands on experience for her CPIT course. Hannah is actively involved with her church keeping busy as a youth leader, a worship leader and she organises youth lead services.

Karen Christie
Karen started her legal secretarial career in 1988. She has been with our firm since 2009. Her background legal knowledge is extensive and includes conveyancing, trusts and family law. Karen has also worked in property management and has always loved anything to do with rentals and conveyancing. She thoroughly enjoys helping people achieve their property goals either by purchasing their own homes or buying investment properties and thrives on delivering that one on one contact with clients.
In her spare time she enjoys being part of her two children’s sporting careers and her husband’s motor racing obsession! Socialising with friends and spending time with her much adored animals (all three dogs and two cats!) are important to her also.

Maree McKenna Maree commenced as a Legal Secretary in 1992 working mainly in the area of Conveyancing. In more recent times she has assisted in the areas of Trusts, Estates and Wills. She is currently working with two partners of the firm and is now also assisting in the area of Immigration Law.
She is married and has two daughters who keep her busy with their sporting activities year round. She is interested in all sports and enjoys mountain biking with family/friends and keeping fit.

Soh Cheng Oh Prior to joining Cherry Kannangara Thomson, Soh Cheng owned her own business in Singapore. Soh Cheng has for the past two and a half years been the PA to Stephen and Anna Kannangara supporting them as they develop their legal practices as well as maintaining the Trust Account and providing support to other staff members as needed.
Coming from Singapore, a multi racial country, she has acquired the skill of speaking a few languages (and dialects) eg Mandarin, Hokkien, Teochew and Cantonese. With this skill on hand, she at times double up as an interpreter for the firm.
In her free moments, she enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling.
