Anna Kannangara
Anna was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 1988.  She practiced in the area of Family, Civil and Criminal Litigation for three years before heading overseas where she worked for a legal firm in Papua New Guinea. She was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 1992 and as an Advocate and Solicitor of Singapore in 1993.

She then practiced in Singapore for four years in the area of property law before returning to her home town of Christchurch with her husband Stephen Kannangara where they are in the process of bringing up four children.

Anna now practices at Cherry Kannangara Thomson in the areas of property law, estate administration and general practice.  Because of her overseas experience Anna very much enjoys the cultural diversity of her client base.

Neville Higgison
Neville’s legal career started in the New Zealand Police where he worked for 28 years in serious crime investigation. He also worked as a Police Prosecutor and was a member of an armed response unit. Following his retirement from the Police Neville commenced his legal studies and completed his law degree in 2008. He started at Cherry Kannangara Thomson in 2009.

Neville practices in the areas of Criminal, Civil, Employment and Family Law.

Shona Senior
Shona practices in the areas of Family Law, Civil Disputes, Trusts and Employment Law. She is able to call upon her broad life experience and her work in government, local government and small business when assisting her clients to find practical, pragmatic and cost effective solutions to their problems.

Shona completed her legal studies in 2008 and started work at Cherry Kannangara Thomson in 2009.

Outside work Shona has a long term home renovation project to complete, enjoys gardening and travel, and occasionally has time to indulge in her interest in needlework.
